My family and I (well my sisters and my mom) have gone shopping on Black Friday as long as I can remember. We used to have Thanksgiving in Idaho with the extended family on my mom's side, and we used to all go together. It's always cold and crazy, but I love it! Here we are looking through the ads the night before and making our game plan :)
This year we weren't after too many things, but I found a stellar deal (just like I said I would) on a camera at Shopko, so we headed over there at approximately 3:15 am. Sheesh! There were some interesting people in line...one guy in front of us had horrendous breath...maybe it was too early for him to brush his teeth. Another guy kept talking to us about really weird things. Don't we look pretty at 3:00 in the morning? I love my mama and sisters!
So when the doors opened some lame sauce ladies cut in front, and bad breath guy was NOT happy. I hate it when people do that FOR SURE, but this guy REALLY hates it apparently. He called her a not so nice name and the store employees seemed nervous that something was about to go down. I love crazy people on Black Friday. So we got what we needed at Shopko, stood in a ridiculously long line, then headed off to Target. We really only wanted to get the cheap movies at Target. BTW, I am bugged that the Office season 5 was not on sale this year. The latest season is always on sale. Bummer. Anyway, I digress. I ended up only finding one movie that I wanted to buy, but the line was seriously 2 hours long and there was no way I was standing in that for one movie. I really didn't want to come back later either. What's a girl to do? I'll tell you! I asked a lady at the front of the line if I could put my movie with the stuff that she was buying and just pay her cash for it. She was so nice! She just let me go in front of her. She was the nicest lady I've ever met. I wish I would've taken a picture of her, but I guess that would've been a little awkward. Anyway, she started my holiday season off perfectly. I love when people are nice. Thanks nice lady at Target!!
Although we didn't really have a lot of items to fight for this year, it was a success and I had fun once again. I really love this tradition and can't wait until next year!!

HOW fun!!!
I did my first black Friday when Porter was a little over a year. Luke was gone and I had a sitter. I haven't been able to do one since because of where we live er whatever. I love 'em too when you can go with people you love to be around!
